    shrinking shirts Empty shrinking shirts

Post by Darrenohooligan Mon Jun 17, 2013 3:06 am

I'm not sure whats going on with the new run of black shirts but they are much bigger than the other shirts recently released. Every black shirt since the boston terrier is way too big on me. (Size large) any advice on how to shrink these shirts just a little bit?? I need a little bit of shrinkage all the way around.  Thanks!!

Just wash it and then put it in the dryer. Do it once and you should be fine, after this just continue washing per tag instructions.

I have a sanitize setting on my dryer which is hotter than HIGH. this shrank my shirts about 2/3 of one size.

Super tedious, but if my shirts are a tad too big and I want to shrink them a little, I'll soak them in the sink in hot water, wring them out a little bit, and dry them with a hair dryer. It'll only dry them about 80% of the way, so I just let it hang dry the rest. Again, I know its super tedious but I've done it to two of my shirts that I needed to shrink only slightly, and they fit absolutely perfect now. Best of luck!

Hahaha my thoughts exactly. Funny enough I dried a shirt a while back but I dont remeber it shrinking all thay much. I did turn the heat up a little more this time maybe that helped..

On another random note this quote setup is a little jacked huh??

I did notice when I bought the black Dragon shirt, I had ordered a size down than normal, that it fit me perfectly. Is it just the black shirts? That's weird.

Do you think it's possible to shrink a large to and medium? There's an et shirt I'm going to try and get but it's a large...

When I shrunk mine they didnt shrink a whole size but they did shrink enough to make a difference.

Something I noticed as well, on one of the shirts I noticed that both the bottom hem and the sleeve hems got all effed up. Not sure if I just wasnt careful when I took them out of the washer but that was the 2nd shirt it happened to. I was thinking about possibly ironing them out and seeing what happens.
