I'm going to Boston the first week of November for a work conference. It will be my first time in that part of the country, so I'm pretty excited. Any recommendations on what to do or see while I'm there? The conference is only about a mile from the Boston shop (which is nice because I won't have a car). What else is in that area?

Well Newbury street is a major fashion/shop area. Fenway park is also in walking distance if you wanna take a tour. The boston marathon finish line is literally right by the Boston shop. Like Viral said lots of good non chain places to eat.

Re: Going to Boston
He should be more specific. I can name off just about everything there is to do in a 10 mile radius of that area, heh.
Downtown Crossing/Faneuil Hall, Prudential building. Depends on how much time you have, there are tons of things to cross off a list.

Re: Going to Boston
Thanks for all the suggestions! I didn't realize everything was so close! I have a whole day to walk around before my conference, so I will definitely check out Newbury Comics (I love comic books!), the marathon finish line, Faneuil Hall and Fenway. The conference is right by Boston Common, so I think I'll check that out too.
