CompleteSet

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting up with another Ohio cupcaker, Gary Darna. Gary has been working for almost 2 years on an awesome application that will allow collectors to showcase, discover and exchange their collectable items. Collectors will be able to display items they have, want, and items they are willing to trade/sell on their 'shelf'. This won't just be limited to Johnny Cupcakes. Star Wars, Coca Cola and many other collectible brands will eventually have their own areas as well.

I have been asked to curate the Johnny Cupcakes section! This includes adding items to the database and verifying user collections. After meeting with Gary and hearing about the future plans for this project, I couldn't be happier to be on board.

I just signed up. I'm very excited....I have a decent size Johnny cupcakes collection but I have bigger coca cola, baseball autographs and Nike collections. My dad also has a huge 1960's batman collection. Can't wait to see the completion of the site.

That's awesome! You'll definitely find this useful then. A lot of collectors have more than one collection. I for example collect Johnny Cupcakes and Star Wars items, so I have a lot of both. It's a great hobby and our goal is to help collectors complete their collections one item at a time in a fun, social way.

Yes, it is similar to Johnny's Closet but different in a few ways.

For one, this site won't be limited to just Johnny Cupcakes. The goal is to create a complete digital catalog of every item from every collectible brand... ever. Star Wars, Star Trek, Batman, Barbie, G.I. Joe... the list goes on. This is beneficial since many collectors have more than one collection, and having to use more than one site can be time consuming.

CompleteSet will allow collectors to build a collection and showcase what they 'Have' and 'Want'. After all, showing off your items is the best part of collecting, right? There are many more differences you'll notice between CompleteSet and Johnny's Closet, but you'll see the first time you login!

Jerren has one of the most impressive and diverse Johnny Cupcakes collections, we couldn't imagine a better Cupcaker to curate this for our community.

Thanks very much! It has been in the works for a long time, and has evolved quite a bit since the inception of the idea, but that's just because I wanted to make sure the first version we release looks and works great. I want this to be the ultimate tool for collectors. That kind commitment to the user experience in web development takes time. I'm excited that you're excited!
